Persistence, courage, strategy, curiosity, enthusiasm, hard work
I’m an experienced & versatile leader, with a demonstrated history of success across very diverse industries. I’m practical, creative, with a strong ‘people’ focus, - skilled in business development, technology transformation, innovation, corporate governance, risk management and communications.
I’m Chair of the Packaging Forum, the Auckland Regional Amenities Funding Board, an Independent director of Auckland Eye, Mrs Mac’s Pies and a private industrial property company with assets from Napier to Kamo. I was a director of Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency & Ngati Awa Group Holdings Limited. I chaired Laura Fergusson Trust Auckland and the Joyce Fisher Endowment Fund.
I’m a serial entrepreneur who has been part of five successful business development and growth stories. This required strong risk management understanding, assessing opportunities for growth, capital raising and successful customer centric solutions. I founded in 2007 (and sold in 2018) Cityhop, NZ’s first carshare company offering cars by the hour.
I’ve been a Chartered Fellow of the IOD (Institute of Directors) NZ since 2014 and a Member of the Australian Chartered Institute of Directors since 2019.
I have over 25 years experience in governance, growing businesses and communications.
